Berkeley Hills, PA Firefighters Find Loaded Car Carrier Ablaze

On May 13, 2003, at 1618 hrs, Newcom 911 Dispatched Station 247 (Berkeley Hills), Station 254 (Ross Fire Police) to a loaded car carrier on fire in the lot of Ross Towne Center.


On May 13, 2003, at 1618 hrs, Newcom 911 Dispatched Station 247 (Berkeley Hills), Station 254 (Ross Fire Police) to a loaded car carrier on fire in the lot of Ross Towne Center. At the same time Norcom was dispatching Station 40(Ross/ West View EMS) to the scene.

Newcom advised all units that they were getting numerous calls reporting it was fully involved. Upon that report 247 C-3 (2nd Asst. Chief Paul Hill) requested that Station 253 (Laurel Gardens) be dispatched to complete the assignment.

247 Engine 2 arrived on scene under the command of Lieutenant Michael Murray and found a car carrier with 6 Ford Explorers fully involved.
