At 9:20 am, on July 12, 2005, the Weston, Massachusetts Fire Department received a call for a tri-axle dump truck that had overturned at construction site.

On arrival we found this Mack dump on its side with the driver still in the cab.

The truck rolled over when the ground under the rear wheels gave way while dumping a load of dirt.

After using an excavator on scene to stabilize the vehicle, Weston firefighters used air bags and cribbing to support the driver while the cab roof was cut away to allow him to be immobilized and extricated.

The extrication took over one hour to complete.

The driver was transported to the hospital complaining of only minor back pain.
