Capitol Hill High Angle Rescue

Just before 11am, on the morning of July 11, 2005, units from the D.C. Fire /EMS were dispatched to the 500 block of D Street SE in the Capitol Hill Section of the city for a high angle rescue.

Just before 11am, on the morning of July 11, 2005, units from the D.C. Fire /EMS were dispatched to the 500 block of D Street SE in the Capitol Hill Section of the city for a high angle rescue.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and located a 32-year-old male on the roof of a two-story row house who had collapsed after suffering a seizure.

Medics assessed him at the site and determined that he was in need of further medical treatment. Firefighters from Rescue Squad 3, Engine 18 and Truck Company 7 was able to secured the more than 250 lb. man into a Stokes basked - and carried him down Truck 7 to medics waiting below.

The man was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
