On May 11, 2003, Howard County Fire Station 1 (Elkridge) was alerted of a barn fire, reportedly fully involved.
The Deputy Chief from Elkridge arrived within minutes, confirming a fully involved structure, and requested FID. The barn and house located nearby had been abandoned for some time.
The location of the fire was 6560 Hanover Road near the Howard County and Anne Arundel County line. Fire investigators have been investigating other fires in the area, but it is unknown if this incident is related.
