The Lillian VFD was paged out for a fully involved mobile home fire at 8:27 am in the 12,000 block of FM917 in Johnson County, TX. The first firemen at the station had requested mutual aid from three surrounding fire departments.
The first engine on scene was the Mansfield FD at approximately 8:49 am. The second engine arrived from the Venus VFD who transferred their water to the Mansfield pumper. They were followed by the Alvarado FD.
Mutual aid was requested from the Rendon VFD who brought the Tarrant County 3,500 gallon tanker truck and they were followed by the Lillian engine.
The fire was controlled at approximately 9:55 am with mop-up continuing for another two hours.
This fire was an example of good mutual aid in a rural county area.
