Town of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York - On Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at about 5pm, the New Hamburg Fire Department and Alamo EMS responded to an accident on Route 9 and Old Post Road near the Poughkeepsie Galleria.
On the arrival of emergency responders, they found a small pick up truck traveling southbound had struck a Toyota Corolla that was crossing from Old Post Road to Spring Road.
The driver of the car was trapped in his car while firefighters removed the driver's door. Once removed, the victim was transported to a local hospital by Alamo.
Firefighters from the Village of Wappinger's Falls assisted on the scene.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police are investigating this incident.
