Video: Virginia Beach Car Fire Threatens Structures

Virginia Beach (VA) Virginia Beach Engine 14 was dispatched to a reported car fire Wednesday, April 30, 2003 in the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue. Fire Inspectors Kirk Leibold and Lonnie Glenn were just blocks away arrived on scene seconds later. Inspector Liebold saw the fire spreading to a wooden fence and threatening an adjacent building and requested a full alarm assignment.

Engine 14 rolled to a stop on 17th Street allowing firefighters to stretch an inch and three quarter line to the fully involved vehicle. The firefighters quickly knocked down the fire on both the fence and station wagon. Engine 12 pulled up along side Engine 14 and shared their tank of water. Engine 14
