At approximately 2310 hours on Saturday April 26, 2003, the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company (11), Talleyville Fire Company (25) and Claymont Fire Company (13) were dispatched to 4633 Talley Hill Lane in the Talley Hill development for a reported house fire.
Engine 113 arived on scene and reported fire showing from the rear of the residence. At this time, New Castle County Fireboard upgraded the response to a Working Fire Dispatch, adding Minquadale Fire Co (22) and Holloway Terrace Fire Co (20) to the response.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 45 minutes. About 45 firefighters from the 5 companies responded to the scene.
The fire heavily damaged both floors of the residence and is currently under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office.
