On February 18, 2005, Washington Township Station 224, C shift firefighters arrived to find a black SUV resting in a local backyard.

The driver of this SUV escaped serious injury. However, boards from a roadside fence came through his windshield, just missing his head. The driver was transported with minor injuries to a local hospital and subsequently released.

The driver had run off the side of the road, crashing through the fence of one yard; into a second yard where he destroyed an occupied doghouse. The dog, although shaken up, suffered no permanent injuries.

The SUV finally came to rest in a third yard just short of hitting a tree.
