It appears initially that the fire broke out at the back of a residence located at 11810 Vaudreuil Ave.
It rapidly spread to a second home. Two houses on each side suffered damage.
A plume of smoke was visible several miles away from the fire.
Mirabel firefighters requested additional crews to assist.
The fire was controlled after more than one hour of work.
The adjacent residences were saved.
