House Fire Battled in Canada

A fire broke out in a two-story house on Chambord Street around 1 p.m. Firefighters from city of Rosemère-Lorraine responded to a general alarm. Assistance came from fire departments from Bois-des-Filion, and the cities of Ste-thérèse and Blainville. The fire raged on the roof and second floor, and spread rapidly inside the walls. At 2:25 p.m., officials declared that saving the house was unlikely. More than 25 firefighters took part in operations.
