Mattress Fire Spreads Through N.Y. Apartment

St. Paul Boulevard firefighters responded along with mutual aid from Ridge Culver and Point Pleasant fire departments to this structure fire on Hudson Avenue in Irondequoit on Sunday afternoon. A mattress fire spread through the two-unit apartment home. When fire crews arrived, an occupant was trying to douse the fire. Three people got out safely. Firefighters rescued a dog and a rabbit.
