Daytona Beach Fire Department responded to the area of San Juan Avenue and Wisconsin Place for a reported mobile home fire just before 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 6.

Crews found a travel trailer fully involved in the parking area adjacent to where the 2011 Bike Week Festivities are being held.

A vendor noticed smoke and flames coming from the bedroom area.

Initial fire suppression activities were delayed due to a small amount of ammunition that was set off by the intense heat and flames.

Once they were able to fight the fire, they were able to confine the fire to the trailer, and prevent significant damage to other vehicles in the parking lot.

There were no injuries. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
