On March 5 Task Force 7 was dispatched in Runnemede for a reported dwelling fire.
Command 701 arrived and reported heavy smoke from a 1 ½ story single family, wood frame dwelling. Companies went in operation with a 1 ¾” hand line for heavy fire conditions in the rear of the dwelling, in the kitchen area. The Truck Company opened up as searches proved negative for occupants.
Two dogs were removed from the dwelling. One was tended to by EMS and the second was D.O.A. Several lines were placed in operation as the fire was brought under control. The fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office.
