On March 8 at 12:38 a.m. Camden City companies were dispatched for a dwelling with reports of people trapped.

EMS arrived and reported the house to be fully involved with three trapped occupants on the rear roof. Crews worked to remove the occupants and they were transported to a nearby hospital.

The Battalion struck the all-hands on arrival due to the heavy fire conditions. Companies secured water supplies and placed multiple hand lines in operation. Crews switched to a defensive operation as interior crews reported heavy fire conditions on the second and third floors. Two ladder pipes were placed in operation. An additional engine and ladder company were sent above the all-hands.

Crews remained in defensive operation to bring the fire under control. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals. The first due engine and ladder companies were closed in this local due to city layoffs.
