Detroit Firefighters Respond to Vacant Dwelling Fire

  On Thursday, Feb. 24 companies from the 6th Battalion responded to the area of Drexel and E. Warren on the report of a vacant dwelling fire.Ladder 14's crew reported the fire was on Lenox and E. Forest, and they had a two-story dwelling going.Engine 41 personnel reported they were stretching.Companies battled harsh conditions and water problems. Chief 6 reported defensive operations and that they would be putting Ladder 14’s waterway into operation.

On Thursday, Feb. 24 companies from the 6th Battalion responded to the area of Drexel and E. Warren on the report of a vacant dwelling fire.

Ladder 14's crew reported the fire was on Lenox and E. Forest, and they had a two-story dwelling going.

Engine 41 personnel reported they were stretching.

Companies battled harsh conditions and water problems. Chief 6 reported defensive operations and that they would be putting Ladder 14’s waterway into operation.

All three engines were stretched and companies used multiple handlines and an aerial waterway to bring this fire under control. E32/38/41 L14 S3 and C6 worked for over an hour to bring this fire under control.
