Around 3:00 p.m. the tones were set off for the HVFD to respond to a brush fire on the Parkway around MM 191 on Doe Run Road off of Ground Hog MT. Road.
The fire was out of control and headed toward a double-wide home. Several units from surrounding fire departments responded with the HVFD.
They were able to contain the fire, and keep the structures from damage.
Several acres burned.
