Rocky Mount, N.C.  firefighters from Engine 7, Squad 2, Battalion 2, along with Nash County EMS and Stony Creek Rescue Squad responded to a vehicle wreck involving two vehicles on N. Wesleyan Blvd. and Bishop Road.

Nash County EMS personnel assessed patients while Capt. Joseph Vindigni assumed command and communicated with EMT-P Matthew Hux about the patients' condition.

He said one person was trapped in a driver's seat, but the others were ok.

One vehicle was hit on the driver's side with approximately a one-foot intrusion.

Engine 7 members pulled an inch-and-three-quarter-inch protection line.

The battery was disconnected prior to any cutting. The crew with Stony Creek Rescue Squad attempted but couldn't pull one of the vehicles off the driver’s side.

They decided  to remove the top of the vehicle to remove the victim.

The trapped driver was removed from the vehicle and transported to Nash General Hospital.
