On Friday, Jan. 28, just before 2 p.m. Engines 1 & 2, Truck 1, Rescue 7 (ALS) and Car 41 (Command) were dispatched to a report of a house fire at 233 Frank Avenue.
The crew of Engine 1 found a two-story residence with smoke showing and called a working fire which brought Quint 7 to the scene as a RIT Team.
It was confirmed that all occupants were accounted for. However a boxer dog was still in the home, and was rescued.
Firefighters worked for over an hour before the blaze was placed under control. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
This home was the scene of a tragic fire on Feb. 2, 2001 which claimed the life of a two-month-old infant. The house was also the scene of a fire in 2006.
