On Jan. 14, companies from the second battalion responded to Pinehurst west of Foley for the report of a dwelling fire.
Leaving the station, the crew of E49 reported smoke. The fire was three blocks from their firehouse.
They found smoke coming from a dwelling.
While performing vertical ventilation, the crew of L21 was pulled from the roof upon receiving reports of possible people trapped in the dwelling.
All searches were negative. Companies working on this Box were E40, 51, L21, S5 and C2.
The fire was brought under control within a half hour.
