Massachusetts Firefighters Respond to House Fire

A three-alarm fire consumed a home in Westminster on Thursday.

Westminster fire crews were called to the home on Town Farm Road at about 6:30 a.m. They encountered a fully engulfed two-story home where the roof had started to collapse. Only one engine could enter the driveway.

They immediately called additional alarms, bringing crews from Ashburnham, Fitchburg, Gardner and Hubbardston to the scene. They used tankers to supply water in the area because there were no hydrants.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The residents were on vacation out of state.

Leominster Fire Department covered Westminster during the fire.
