Pancake House Burns in New York

  The Valley Stream Fire Department responded to a building fire at the International House of Pancakes located at 180 East Sunrise Highway about 6:30 a.m., Saturday Jan. 8.The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire.Fire was visible through the roof of the two-story structure.Mutual aid assistance from neighboring fire departments was requested to assist in extinguishing the blaze which was fought in sub- zero weather.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal was on scene to investigate the cause of fire. No injuries were reported.
