Maryland Firefighters Respond to Crash

  About 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, Baltimore County Fire Department Engine & Medic 3 and Engine 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with reported rollover on the Inner Loop of Interstate 695 between exits 18 & 19.Fire Dispatch advised they were now receiving a report that someone was pinned inside the vehicle.Engine 3's officer advised they had a Jeep Cherokee SUV that had crashed and rolled over, landing upright on the slow shoulder of the beltway with one person confirmed trapped.

Fire Dispatch advised they were now receiving a report that someone was pinned inside the vehicle.

Engine 3's officer advised they had a Jeep Cherokee SUV that had crashed and rolled over, landing upright on the slow shoulder of the beltway with one person confirmed trapped.

Rescue Box 3-60 was dispatched, bringing Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Squad 322, BCoFD Truck 18, Batallion Chief 2 and EMS 8 to the scene.

The crew began extrication efforts, assisted by Truck 18's crew, to remove the roof.

The female patient was transported as a Priority 2 patient by Medic 3 to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

The crash is under investigation by the Maryland State Police Golden Ring barrack
