Vermont Crew Handles Crash

 Volunteers of the Orleans Fire Department, Orleans Emergency Squad, Barton Ambulance, Glover Ambulance responded to a crash involving a pickup truck on Dec. 24.A Ford Pickup left the road and crashed into a tree off Maple Hill Road in Orleans.

Ford Pickup left the road and crashed into a tree off Maple Hill Road in Orleans.

Orleans Fire Department under the command of Chief Ron Hoyt, had to use extrication tools to open the driver's door.  

The driver and his two passengers of whom is said to be 16, were taken to North Country Hospital in Newport Each of the three responding ambulances transported a patient.

Reports indicated the driver being combative.
Vermont State Police are investigating the possibly of alcohol being part of the cause as well as excessive speed.
