Liberty County, Georgia- Ft. Stewart Communications dispatched Ft. Stewart Fire to a brush fire at Taylor's Creek Drop Zone off of Highway 144.
Engine 7 responded under the direction of Captain Terry Timmons. Wwhile responding, reports were coming into dispatch advising the fire was spreading fast due to high winds. Timmons immediately requested Forestry to respond.
Engine 7's crew along with range control and MPs advised the fast moving fire was contained. Crews stood by and monitored the area awaiting forestry.
Ft. Stewart Forestry deployed a large plow cutting a fire break around the fire.
