Alabama Waterfront Home Destroyed

On Dec. 12, at 1:06 a.m., Perdido Beach Vol. Fire Dept and its mutual aid departments were paged out for a structure fire in the Town of Perdido Beach, AL.Crews found a single-story wood frame house well involved.Built in the 1930s with additions added in the 1950s, the waterfront home was destroyed due to the intensity of the fire. It was made of heart pine.Units from Perdido Beach Station 35, Lillian Station 37, Elberta Station 31 and Josephine Station 33 were on scene for several hours.

Built in the 1930s with additions added in the 1950s, the waterfront home was destroyed due to the intensity of the fire. 

It was made of heart pine.

Units from Perdido Beach Station 35, Lillian Station 37, Elberta Station 31 and Josephine Station 33 were on scene for several hours.

Five-inch LDH was laid into the scene from a hydrant about five blocks away.

One firefighter was treated on the scene for exhaustion.
