On Thursday, Dec. 2, around 9:30 p.m., the box was struck for a house fire in the 1900 block of Ridge Road sending Engines 5,3,1, Tankers 5,3,1, an Ambulance and the deputies.
Crews found a two-story log house with heavy fire in a large rear addition and second floor.
An additional tanker and rescue were added.
Firefighters went to work stretching an inch-and-three-quarter hose line to the second floor.
The fire was knocked in about 10 minutes. Firefighters remained on scene for several hours extinguishing hot spots and assisting the state police investigators.
The house was not occupied at the time of the fire. There were no injuries were reported.
Firefighters saved many personal items including antiques.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious and the origin is being investigated by the state police fire investigators.
