The fire companies of Bargaintown & Scullville from the Egg Harbor Township Fire Department in Atlantic County responded to 182 Steelmanville Road between Mount Airy & Ocean Heights Avenue Dec. 2 at 3:15 a.m. for a report of a structure fire.
Bargaintown Captain Will Hancock reported fire showing from a one-story wood frame single family dwelling on the B-C corner.
Assistant Bargaintown Chief Gene Sharpe assumed command. With a hydrant 300 feet from the scene, a LDH was laid. The fire brought under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Egg Harbor Township Fire Department's Fire Investigators.
Assisting were Cardiff, City of Somers Point Fire Department,EHT EMS, Absecon EMS, EHT Police, Bargaintown & Scullville Fire Police, and Bargaintown & Scullville Ladies Auxiliaries.
