Portland Firefighters Respond to House Fire

At 2:34 a.m, Nov. 24, a box was dispatched for a house fire on Cherry Blossom Drive in southeast Portland.

Crews found a large police presence and fire showing from a two-story residence.

When police arrived about two hours earlier for a family dispute, they were fired on by someone in the house.

Tear gas and flash grenades were used, and later the house became involved in fire.

After a period of inactivity in the house, firefighters were allowed to begin exterior operations.

After the fire was extinguished, a body was recovered.

Cause of death was not immediately determined.
