On May 17, E3, M3, M29, and Rescue 2 were alerted to a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), car vs. 18 wheeler.
E3 arrived to find one patient entrapped.
Rescue 2 and E3 removed the cars "B" post and folded the rear door back.
The car was severely damaged and lifted off the ground.
The car was stabilized using paratech struts and cribbing.
The patient was removed in 10 minutes with less than 10 people on scene.
The driver of the 18 wheeler was not injured and refused treatment.
Lieutenant Williams was in command during the extrication.
