Sprinklers Save N.J. Warehouse on Oct. 30

On Oct. 30, sprinklers saved the Goodwill warehouse in Pennsauken Township.

Crews found a dumpster on fire next to the building with fire extending into it.

Firefighters went into operation with hand lines as a water supply was established. The dumpster was knocked down and pulled away from the building.

They soon discovered that sprinklers activated, and helped contain and extinguish the fire inside.

Crews remained on location pulling the contents of the dumpster apart.

No injuries were reported.

The Pennsauken Fire Department and Camden County Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation.
