Motor Vehicle Accident in Greenwich, Connecticut

On May 23rd, in the Town of Greenwich Connecticut, Engines 1,2, and C-5 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (m.v.a.) with injuries on North St. in the area of Cotswood Rd.

On May 23rd, in the Town of Greenwich Connecticut, Engines 1,2, and C-5 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (m.v.a.) with injuries on North St. in the area of Cotswood Rd.

Engine 1 and C-5 arrived on scene to find road shut down due to a head on collision.

C-5 advised dispatch of 1 injured patient in each vehicle, 1 needing extrication and G.E.M.S on scene.

After colliding head on with the jeep the service vehicle veered off and hit a stonewall coming to rest next to the wall. Both vehicles ended up on the other side of there travel lanes. The passenger door of the service truck was taken off and the patient was packaged and removed. The jeep had no entrapment and firefighters assisted with patient removal. Both vehicles had substantial fluid spills.

E-2 returned to service shortly there-after leaving E-1 and C-5 remaining on scene to assist with police investigation and vehicle removal for several hours.

Both patients were transported to area hospitals with there conditions unknown.
