The Malverne, New York Fire Department responded to this violent crash on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island on Friday, May 13, 2005. They rsponded to this incident along with New York State Troopers, Nassau County Police Department, NCPD Emergency Service, and Police Air Bureau.
An occupant of the speeding car was ejected into the roadway on impact and later airlifted to a nearby trauma hospital.
All eastbound traffic on the heavily used parkway was halted for nearly 30 minutes while crews removed the victim and the wreckage.
