Barn Burns in North Carolina

  RALEIGH - City and county crews found a fully-involved barn fire at the end of Horse Shoe Farm Road in Raleigh, N.C. on Monday, Oct. 11. The one-story wood and metal structure was located on city property, and at the northeastern edge of the city limits. Raleigh Engine 28's crew deployed their deck gun. New Hope Engine 8 and Rolesville Engine 153 utilized personnel to pull hand lines from Engine 28 and Engine 153. No animals were stored in the barn, though a quantity of hay was present.

The one-story wood and metal structure was located on city property, and at the northeastern edge of the city limits.

Raleigh Engine 28's crew deployed their deck gun. New Hope Engine 8 and Rolesville Engine 153 utilized personnel to pull hand lines from Engine 28 and Engine 153.

No animals were stored in the barn, though a quantity of hay was present.

With no hydrants at the property, tankers from New Hope and Rolesville were used to shuttle water to the scene from Ligon Mill Road.

Eastern Wake EMS and Wake County EMS stood by for rehab and medical monitoring needs.

Investigators from the Raleigh Fire Department, Raleigh Police Department, and Wake County Fire Services were also on scene. Units included Raleigh Engine 28, Battalion 1, Car 10, Car 20; New Hope E8, Tanker 10, Tanker 12, Car 2, Car 1; Rolesville Engine 153, Tanker 158, EMS 61, EMS 64, District 3, WC 1.
