Fire was in a single story 2500 sq. ft. residential structure. First arriving units found fire through the roof and wall upon arrival. There were reports of possibly people in the building due to the fact it was 2:00 am and there were two cars in the garage.

Entry was attempted in the rear of the building for rescue but they were forced back by fire and smoke conditions. Due to the intensity of the fire and structural damage a defensive attack was used. After sometime into the fire we learned the people were away on vacation. The structure was a total loss.

A nearby structure sustained radiant heat damage but was saved by exposure protection by a pumper dedicated to that structure only.

A tanker relay had to be set up because of no hydrants in the area.

Departments from Bristol, Naples, Hemlock, East Bloomfield and West Bloomfield also responded.
