The second fire to break out in Rochester, N.Y. home in 24 hours destroyed a house Sunday, Sept. 26. The raging fire damaged a neighbor's home as well.
Units arrived at the second fire, reported about 11 p.m. to find heavy fire from the 1 1/2-story vacant home. The first floor windows at 239 Weaver St. were boarded up.
Firefighters deployed several handlines to protect surrounding structures and to knock the heavy volume of fire in the home.
After a 45 minute battle, the flames were brought under control.
The home at 235 Weaver St suffered minor damage.
Saturday night, crews found a small fire burning outside of the structure.
Both fires are now under investigation.
