DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – On Sept. 22, Daytona Beach crews were dispatched for a wreck in the north and southbound lanes of Ridgewood Avenue.
There were reports of entrapment.
It appears that a vehicle headed southbound crossed into oncoming traffic and struck two vehicles sitting in the northbound turn lane before coming to rest on its side.
Witness stated that if it had not been for the quick reaction of the driver of the sedan involved, this would have been a head-on collision.
Due to the driver’s quick reaction, the passenger in the vehicle suffered only minor injuries. The patient had to be extricated by fire personnel.
No other injuries were reported.
