Car Fire in Bradford Township, Pennsylvania

On Monday, May 9, the Bradford Township, Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on West Washington Street.

On Monday, May 9, the Bradford Township, Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on West Washington Street.

With the address being nearly at the edge of the fire district, Assistant Chief Dan Burkehouse requested mutual aid from the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Bradford Township responded with two pumpers and Corydon Township responded with one pumper. Corydon Township arrived just prior to the Bradford Township units and found the vehicle fully involved. Corydon Township was used as the attack engine with Bradford Township supplying it.

Firefighters from the two departments used two, 1 3/4 inch attack lines to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were on scene for approximately one hour.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
