Pine Bush Firefighters Battle Well Involved Structure Fire in New York

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Sunday May 8th, the Pine Bush Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire opposite 169 Black Hawk Trail.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Sunday May 8th, the Pine Bush Fire Department was alerted for a possible structure fire opposite 169 Black Hawk Trail.

As units responded they were advised by Orange County 9-1-1 Dispatchers of multiple calls for a working fire.

Town of Crawford Police Department arrived shorlty ahead of Pine Bush Chief Craig Gillespie and reported heavy fire showing from the 1 1/2 story structure with fire through the roof.

Incident Command Chief Gillespie requested a 2nd Alarm bringing a FAST Team from Bullvile to the scene and standby Companies from Walden and Walker Valley to the Pine Bush station.

The fire, which destroyed the home,,took about 45 minutes to bring under control.

The were no reported injuries though two of the family's pit bulls perished in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Investigation Unit & the Town of Crawford PD.
