Vehicle Extrication in New Jersey

Extrication was completed within 20 minutes of dispatch time.

The afternoon of Saturday May 7th, while conducting a vehicle extrication 1 class, Stations 11-2, 11-4, Rescues 1135 and 1165, along with EMS 1177 and 1170, were dispatched to the intersection of Route 130 North and South at Browning Road for a reported motor vehicle accident (MVA), with entrapment.

Dispatch time was approximately 3pm.

EMS 1177 arrived and confirmed 1 trapped and requested the rescue companies to access the scene from Browning Road do to both vehicles blocking both the south and north bound lanes of Route 130.

Rescue Company 1135 responded first and went into service. Shortly after 1165 arrived, and assisted in the end of the extrication with cutting the door off.

Extrication was completed within 20 minutes of dispatch time.

The driver had only minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
