Hillsborough County, Florida Firefighters Tackle House Fire

At approximately 1620 hours, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived on scene of a two story residential structure fire with heavy smoke showing.

At approximately 1620 hours, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived on scene of a two story residential structure fire with heavy smoke showing.

Engine-14, first on scene, followed immediately by Ladder 14 quickly attacked the fire with two 1-3/4 lines as well as positive pressure ventilation.

Primary and secondary search were both negative.

Engine -14, Engine -19, Rescue-24, Air10, and B-2 all assisted with extinguishment.

Upon further investigation, a large hole was noted in the second story floor. The hole was the result of the heavy fire inside and fortunately was avoided during fire operations.

Fire cause believed to be electrical malfunction in the kitchen.

A quick attack and early detection saved this from going into a defensive attack.
