On Weds., July 28, 2010 SMFD Engine 4 was toned out for a rollover at Betteravia and College, not far from their station. While responding, they were advised that one occupant was still inside one of the vehicles. Battalion 210 responded after hearing the update, and requested USAR 2.

Engine 4 arrived to find two vehicles: one car in the intersection, and a van almost 100 ft. east of the intersection on its top. A quick size-up determined that the van's female driver was trapped upside down, suspended in her seatbelt. Engine 4 began patient care and vehicle stabilization while Battalion 210 took command, and USAR 2 assisted with stabilization and extrication.

Firefighters and medics were able to safely remove the woman from her vehicle, and she was transported to Marian Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver of the other car was also transported with similar injuries.
