Howard County, Maryland fire box 7-4 10387 Twin Rivers Road was alerted at about 1545 hours on February 8, 2003.
Units from the Banneker Station [Company 7] arrived within minutes reporting heavy fire from the rear of the structure.
A task force was requested as crews searched for victims. Evacuation tones were sounded as the structure appeared to become unsafe for interior operations and all personel retreated to the exterior.
The building appeared to have been destroyed and the adjoining buildings were damaged. Three civilian patients were transported to the local hospital. The fire is under investigation at this time.
