Virginia Firefighters Assist Overturned Semi Driver

The driver of this tractor-trailer was heading South on U.S. 100 when his rear tire blew out, sending him out of control and leaving the vehicle on its side in the northbound lane. The driver was coming out of the curve near the Rock Quarry in Wyth County, near the Carroll County line, when the incident occurred. He escaped serious injury and came out of this wreck with a laceration on his elbow and some small cuts and bruises. Traffic was blocked while the truck was righted and removed from the scene.

The HVFD assisted the Barron Springs Volunteer Fire Department on the call. The Virginia State Police are investigating the accident.
