N.C. Fire Department Responds to Overturned Dump Truck

The Gastonia Fire Department responded Monday, June 21 with one Rescue Company, one Ladder Company, Hazmat 1 and two Battalion Chiefs to the 1900 block of Bessemer City Road near the intersection of Delta Drive for an overturned dump truck.The driver was attempting to turn onto Delta Street and rolled the dump truck on its side. The driver suffered injuries to his shoulder and was transported to Gaston Memorial Hospital.

The Gastonia Fire Department Hazmat Team assisted in transferring and containing the diesel fuel from the truck's tanks to prevent it from leaking on the ground.
