Ocala Fire Rescue Responds to Vehicle Collision

(OCALA, FLORIDA) A two vehicle collision this afternoon resulted in the female driver from one vehicle being taken by medical helicopter to Shands hospital. Ocala Fire Rescue responded to 4120 East Silver Springs Boulevard at 12:10 p.m. to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a passenger car and a pick-up truck. The injured driver from the passenger car was treated by paramedics and removed from the vehicle. The patient then was transferred to the helicopter which landed at Booster Stadium on Northeast 36th Avenue.

The driver and two children in the pick-up truck told authorities they were not injured.
