A vehicle fire on Brittany St. Friday seriously injured a Livingston Parish Resident.
The Livingston resident reported that he was traveling down Brittany St. when he started having problems with his vehicle, and within seconds the vehicle burst into flames .
Firefighters from Sorrento, St. Amant, Gonzales and 5th Ward Fire Departments responded to the call to assist. Acadian Ambulance ground and air units also responded.
The injured resident was transported to a Baton Rouge Burn Unit by Air Med.
Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office and Sorrento Police were also on scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
