On February 16, 2005 at 0732 hours Lawrence Massachusetts Fire Department Ladder 4 responded to a reported motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival the crew was present with a problem. A passenger van used to transport school children had been involved in a accident. The van crashed through a fence and went into a swimming pool. Depth of the pool was 6 feet in the center.
There were two people in the van, the driver and the driver's child.
The bus was in route to pick up school children.
Members from Ladder 4 checked to insure that in fact the van was empty.
A local towing company was called in to remove the van from the pool while firefighters and police stood by.
There were no injuries reported.
