South Carolina Firefighters Battle Mobile Home Fire

A defensive attack with exposure protection was ordered with 100% involvement of the structure on arrival.

Shortly after midnight on February 11, 2005 the Burton Fire District was dispatched to a possible structure fire with explosions.

804 (Lt. Still) who lives less than a mile from the scene, arrived first on scene and reported a working fire in a doublewide mobile home with multiple exposures.

A defensive attack with exposure protection was ordered with 100% involvement of the structure on arrival.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and damage was limited to the structure of origin.

Two 1-3/4" lines with Class A Foam were used in the extensive overhaul of the structure. Lt.

Still was Incident Commander with 801, 802, 805, Burton Engines 821, 823, 825, Squad 851, Port Royal Engine 4 and Beaufort County EMS 2 on scene.
