Heavy Smoke Pours from N.C. Dentist's Office

 RALEIGH, NC - On the morning of Thursday, April 22, crews at a commercial structure fire at 221 W. Millbrook Road found heavy smoke coming from a two-story, wood-frame dentist's office with 2,226 square-feet. Engine 9 made an interior attack, with fire found in the attic. Battalion 1 assumed command called for a second alarm within minutes.

RALEIGH, NC - On the morning of Thursday, April 22, crews at a commercial structure fire at 221 W. Millbrook Road found heavy smoke coming from a two-story, wood-frame dentist's office with 2,226 square-feet.

Engine 9 made an interior attack, with fire found in the attic. Battalion 1 assumed command called for a second alarm within minutes.

Ladder 1 backed into the small parking lot and deployed in the front of the structure. The 75-foot aerial ladder was utilized for roof operations, with crews ventilating the structure.

Staging was located on both West Millbrook Road and in a parking lot across the street. Medical monitoring and rehab was also located in that parking lot.

The fire was dispatched at 7:13 a.m., and controlled at 7:49 a.m. No injuries were reported. The cause was determined to be accidental.
